Stephen Grimm (Fordham University, Philosophy) has informed me of a new $3.8 million project  that will explore various answers to the question: “What is understanding?” This 3-year project will sponsor scholars who work in the areas of Psychology, Philosophy, and/or Theology. In their own words:

“[This project] will examine the various ways in which human beings understand the world, how these types of understanding might be improved, and how they might be combined to produce an integrated understanding of the world.”
